Product Description: Kindel Furniture - 88-868 - Monaco II - The Monaco II coffee table is identical to the original Monaco Coffee Table but features a straight-grain Cherry top instead of book-matched, quartered Cherry. This version is perfectly suited for a simpler grain pattern under stained finishes or for painted lacquer finishes. The legs are concave and support a lower shelf for storage. The design of the table is from the Dorothy Draper Collection. See 88-866 for alternate grain pattern. Also available in Oak, 88-867.

Her work on behalf of such institutions as New York's Hampshire House, The Carlyle, San Francisco's Mark Hopkins Hotel, Hollywood's Arrowhead Springs Hotel and West Virginia's Greenbrier Hotel exemplified her as a pioneering businesswoman and the most famous decorator of the 1930s and 40s. She invented Modern Baroque with oversize plaster work and dramatic use of vibrant color. Dorothy Draper's design philosophy: bright colors and the rejection of all that is impractical, uncomfortable and drab. If It Looks Right, It Is Right.
