More About Jessica Charles Furniture
Jessica Charles began its journey in the furniture industry in 1975. Founded by Bill Disque, along with partners Kermit Pierce and Joe Slade, the company was originally known as Disque Furniture. They quickly gained a reputation for producing the best swivel rockers, establishing a niche in the market. Over time, they expanded their offerings to include swivels, gliders, dining chairs, benches, ottomans, and settees.
In 1995, the company was acquired by Jack Glasheen, Jimmy Moore, and Tim Rogers of Hancock & Moore, and it was then renamed Jessica Charles. Kermit Pierce remained with the company as Vice President, overseeing the manufacturing side until his passing in 2018. The company continues to honor his legacy by adhering to the high standards he set, ensuring that every piece meets his impeccable expectations.
As the owners approached retirement in 2015, they sold the company to the Rock House Farm Family of Brands, making Jessica Charles a sister company to Century and Highland House. Today, under the leadership of Alex Shuford III, the company remains committed to the mission it was founded on.
