Fine Rugs<\/p><\/div>\n

Our designers are on hand to help with your selection. Although there are no hard and fast rules, here are some tips to steer you towards the perfect rug.<\/h2>\n

For living rooms, sofa and room size dictate the size of a rug. 5’x8′ rugs fit smaller rooms with small scale sofas. Increase to 6’x9′ rugs if sofa is 90″.<\/p>\n

Selecting the perfect rug for larger rooms.<\/h2>\n

Larger rooms with 86″ to 100″ sofas need an 8’x10′ rug. If there is a 100″ to 136″ sofa or sectional, a 9’x12′ or 10’x14′ rug might be best.<\/p>\n

Selecting the perfect rug for dining rooms<\/h2>\n

Dining rooms are a little trickier. The size of your room and dining table must be taken into account. Ideally, leave 18″ of open space between a rug and wall. And on all sides allow 24″ of rug between edge of table and edge of rug.
