Arm Chair Barley twist carved chair
The styling of the Canterbury chair dates back to the early 17th century during the time of Louis XIII and Charles II. The chair legs, arm posts, and stretchers are hand carved in a barley twist design. The back has an opening between the bottom of the back and the chair seat with exposed wood legs showing between. The beautifully carved arm widens into a lovely grooved spiral carving as it flows to the front of the chair.
