“My vision is simple but important: Helping You Create Your Dream,” Randy says. “When you enter our store, whether you make a purchase or not, I want you to feel the trip was worth your time.” As co-owner of Good’s Home Furnishings, Randy brings more than 20 years of experience in the furniture industry. He enjoys the design side of the business and his attention to detail sets him apart from his competitors. He has built a strong, experienced, and caring staff and this is a true reflection of his passion for his company, as well as his customers. Randy, his wife, their son and daughter and one dog reside in Catawba County. Randy loves golf and running in his spare time.
Scott is a co-owner of Good’s Home Furnishings. Scott’s mission for Good’s Home Furnishings is twofold. First, his drive to provide outstanding value for his customers. “This is my priority in opening a new furniture company in today’s economic circumstances,” Scott explains. Secondly, “quality customer service will be the gold standard in every client contact we have.” Scott’s commitment and passion is evident in the warmth you feel when you enter the showrooms or call on the phone. Scott is excited about the opportunity to give you the best value for your money. He lives in Catawba County, is married and has two daughters. Scott is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Appalachian State University. He has worked in the furniture industry more than 17 years, most recently as CFO of a large furniture company based in Catawba County, North Carolina. He plays golf in his spare time.
Tavia has been in the furniture industry for more than 15 years and is an active Allied member of ASID. Her vision is to help you define and create your personal style that is practical and timeless. “I will search for those fabulous finds to help you create a warm and cozy atmosphere for you to enjoy with your family and friends,” Tavia offers. “Together we’ll transform your house into the space you dream about.” Tavia’s experience includes working as a Visual Coordinator and Merchandise Planning Coordinator for a major retailer. Overseeing 10 retail stores, she had the opportunity to deepen her creative and design skills. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Appalachian State University, Tavia completed her internship with Martha Stewart in New York City. She and her husband live in Hickory. Tavia loves wakeboarding, traveling, and is an avid wine collector.
Trisha Fox, Controller/Customer Service
Trisha Fox is an expert in finding solutions. As Good’s controller and customer service expert, Trisha brings 16 years of experience in the furniture industry to each day and every customer. Her knowledge ensures great outcomes for our clients. As a mom of two young boys, Jackson and Austin, Trisha and her husband, Derrick, live in Hickory and are busy beautifying their own home. Her love of unique and timeless furnishings translates into excitement for customers who are ready to make their own space more inviting. Trisha is a graduate of Appalachian State and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Barb is a style Diva! Turning your home into your haven is Barb’s goal with each client. “Style lasts forever, but trends fade,” says Barb, as she carefully helps you achieve artful style in your home. She has been a consultant for 12 years. Barb is married with three children and seven grandchildren. She loves gardening and needlepoint.
“No sale is complete until I see your excitement about your new furniture and know you’ll enjoy it for many years,” says James. He will help you with your long term design goals as well as with your quick and easy home projects. James has been in the retail business for 16 years with seven years focused in the the furniture industry. He has completed design projects large and small nationwide. He is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. James is an avid mountain biker and loves snowboarding in his spare time. He and his wife and daughter call Hickory home.
Lee is an expert in furniture design and construction. And he is happy to
share his more than 30 years of expertise in manufacturing and evolving
trends with his customers.
Lee lives in Caldwell County with his wife, Melissa, and daughter Laura. He
is an avid golfer, photographer and loves to discuss current events.
"I work to define my customers' needs and offer solutions for any size
project, small or large." Lee is happy to help find the crowning touch for
any room - whether it be a rug or lamp - or start from the ground up with
space planning, paint selection and practical solutions for difficult
layouts. Passionate about how a piece of furniture is made and what makes
one sofa stand out over another, he is happy to share his love of furniture
with you.
Lee has a loyal following of customers from his many years in the business.

As a communications graduate of the University of NC at Chapel Hill, Lee understands the importance of listening to his customers. He developed his design skills with Drexel Heritage Home Furnishings and Boyles Furniture. His experience with local clients as well as overseas buyers has helped him meld culture and design in unique ways to assist you with your decorating plans. Lee has also worked as a media specialist in the newspaper and photography fields. Lee loves the outdoors including kayaking, backpacking and fly fishing. Lee says, “A well-designed room should be two things: functional and pleasing.” Let Lee help you achieve both.
Jennifer’s design style is casual comfort. She says, “There is more to life than increasing its speed. I bring exciting design into peaceful harmony in your family’s gathering spaces.” Jennifer has been in the furniture industry for more than 20 years, with a focus on visual display. She is a member of IDS with residential and commercial experience. Jennifer is married and has one son. She is a cooking guru and also loves animals and gardening.
Shana began her working life in the newspaper business. She launched into design because of her love of people and fine furniture. Shana has worked as a design consultant for the last five years with a large, upscale retailer in the Hickory Market. Shana also has been recognized as a top writer for Thomasville Furniture for five consecutive years. She draws on the tools she learned in publishing to edit the details of your home to tell the story of your life. Shana is adept at space planning and bringing fabrics together to create inviting and welcoming rooms that are truly unique. Shana says, “I am a great listener and able to bring my customer’s vision to life”. She is a graduate of UNC Charlotte and a Hickory native. Shana and her husband, Paul, have two dogs, Luke and Abbie. Shana enjoys writing, travel and renovating her 1937 home. Call Shana and let her breathe life into your dreams.
Mike is passionate about quality customer service. “I describe myself as a triple threat to customer service problems: I am dependable, dedicated, and detail-oriented.” Mike has put those skills to use delivering furniture for over 20 years. While Mike loves to hear your positive feedback, he is always ready to listen to any customer service issues or concerns you may have. He lives in Catawba County and is married with one son. He is a graduate of Edison Community College. Mike is a sports fanatic and enjoys golf and racing.
Natasha is a Catawba County native and resides in Hickory with her cat, Ivan. She has an Associates Degree in Photography from Catawba Valley Community College and is currently an online student with the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. As an internet salesperson with Goods Home Furnishings, Natasha understands the importance of "personality in print." Natasha says, "It's important to maintain the personal interaction, even if I never meet my clients face to face." As a technical savvy employee, she understands the live chat process and enjoys helping her busy and mobile clients make good decorating decisions. Natasha has a combined five years experience in internet sales, data sales, and imaging. When you contact Natasha for your large or small design plans, you will see her delightful charm in each written conversation.
Carol is a sales associate with more than 20 years of experience. She has worked in direct sales, design, and support services in the furniture and accessory industry. Carol has been very successful in her career. She believes you achieve a comfort level, in your home, and create your style, from the things you love. Surrounding yourself with your family and friends is also very important to Carol. Helping her clients achieve their "level of solace" is Carol's goal when she is assisting her clients. She resides in Burke County with her husband, Greg and her two children, Olivia and Cooper . Carol's hobbies are cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
Doug lives in Granite Falls with his four-legged girls Scooter, Patti, Eby and Abigail. Anyone who knows Doug knows his love for animals. Before his 104-year-old grandmother passed, she always said, "A house is not a home without a dog." Doug also got his sense of style from his grandmother, who lived in grand old Victorian homes with fantastic furniture, lamps and accessories. That early introduction to design has served him well. With more than 10 years of experience helping customers create a beautiful sanctuary for themselves and their families, Doug understands the importance of designing for the way you live. Even as a child he would rearrange his parents" furniture and bring in flowers and greenery. When asked why, he replied simply, "Because it looks better." Doug loves mixing antiques with new pieces to create a look that"s unique to you. "Why not? It just looks better!"
Michael is someone you’ll be happy to know. A warm and jovial father of two, Michael lives with his wife, Melissa, and their son and daughter, Sterling and Tynsley, in Happy Valley. Besides having more than 15 years of knowledge in the furniture industry, it’s clear from the start that Michael cares about the experience you have in our showroom. Most importantly, he wants to be sure that you love your furniture even more when it arrives in your home.

Michael is active in his church, Yadkin Valley Baptist, and he enjoys practicing baseball with his kids.
